What To Expect
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so let me walk you through what you can expect during our sessions:
The Initial Session
Our journey begins with an initial session. This is your chance to ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and see if we click. There's absolutely no pressure to continue after this session. If I'm not the perfect fit for you right now, I'm happy to connect you with resources that might be a better match for your needs.
Our Counselling Sessions
Counselling is a collaborative process. My priority is creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself openly and honestly, without fear of judgment. You'll be guiding the conversation, exploring what matters most to you.
Talking therapy allows you to explore your true self, your pain, and potential, all with supportive guidance.
Everything we discuss remains completely confidential within the boundaries of professional ethics.
Here, progress is what matters, not perfection. We'll celebrate your achievements, big and small, and tackle challenges together.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are the same time every week, but we can adjust this to fit your needs.
Therapy can be short-term, long-term, or anything in between.
Sessions can be in-person (in either Kings Langley or Aylesbury) or online, depending on your preference.
How we work together is always open for discussion, and you're free to change your mind at any time.
